## Core Concepts

- **jQuery Object**: A wrapper around DOM elements returned by `$()` or `jQuery()`, providing cross-browser methods
- **Chaining**: Most jQuery methods return the jQuery object, allowing method chaining: `$( "p" ).addClass( "intro" ).show()`
