The simplest skill here — and the one I run at the start of almost every project.
Before any work begins, Grill Me interrogates you about your idea: one sharp question at a time. It sounds basic, but it routinely goes 40–50 questions deep, and by the end you have far more clarity on what you actually want. Half the time you go in thinking you know — and by question 20 you realize you missed something obvious.
It does two things at once:
- It helps you think. Answering forces the fuzzy parts of your idea into focus — scope, edge cases, the thing you were quietly avoiding.
- It makes the output better. By the time the work starts, the agent actually understands what you want instead of guessing — so what it builds is closer to right the first time.
How to use it
Run it at the very start of a project, feature, or task. Answer honestly, let it dig, and don't rush it to start — the grilling is the value. When it can explain your idea back to you better than you explained it, it stops and plays it all back for you to confirm before any work begins.
No network, no filesystem, no tools — just a conversation. Local-only.
