MarkPDF — Agent Skill

> Convert Markdown to premium-themed PDFs, slide decks (PPTX or PDF), styled HTML, and shareable links — from any AI coding agent.

This is the official skill for MarkPDF, built on the open Agent Skills standard. It works across Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, VS Code, and the rest of the skills.sh ecosystem.

Quick start (Claude Code, copy-paste)

Three commands, no signup, ~30 s. Restart Claude Code after step 3, then say "Make a PDF of this markdown".

The skill bundles 8 reference recipes (academic paper, pitch deck, executive report, password-protected share, custom CSS, etc.) and OS-aware auto-open so the result lands directly in your browser.

Concrete example — Claude Code

After installing both the skill and the MCP server, here's a real session:

1. Install

2. Restart Claude Code, then drop a markdown file into the chat:

3. What Claude does behind the scenes:

1. whoami                          → tier=free, dailyUsed=0/2
2. convert_markdown_to_pdf         → theme=consul, returns dl URL
3. create_share_link               → kind=doc, accessEmails=[alice@acme.com]
4. open https://markpdf.app/d/x9k  → auto-opens in your default browser

4. Output you see in the chat:

The browser opens to the share page automatically. Alice gets the email.

The flow is identical for every agent — only the install commands and the chat UI change.

Cursor

Updating
