Reliability & compatibility
Declared compatibility
Compatibility is declared by the source manifest. End-to-end runtime verification is coming, see below.
We're building live execution health for every listing: tool-call success rate, median latency, uptime, and last-checked timestamps, measured, not self-reported. It isn't live yet, so we don't show numbers we can't stand behind.

MCP-Bridge: Hot-Reload MCP Servers Without Restarting Your Client
Solve the MCP restart problem. Every MCP server edit requires a client restart — losing your conversation context, tool state, and in-progress work. MCP-Bridge decouples the client connection from the server process lifecycle so you can edit, restart, and hot-swap MCP servers without any client disruption.
The Problem
MCP's stdio transport couples the client's connection to the server's process lifetime. Replace the process, lose the connection. This affects:
- Claude Code (issue #605, #4118, #21745)
- Cursor, Zed, and any MCP client using stdio transport
- AI agents developing their own tools — they cannot test changes without human intervention
The Solution
Client ──HTTP/SSE──> MCP-Bridge ──stdio──> MCP Server
(persistent) (replaceable)
The client connects once via HTTP. The bridge manages server process lifecycles independently. Edit your server, signal the bridge, test immediately. No restart. No lost context.
Unlike other MCP hot-reload tools, MCP-Bridge is specified by a 72-line Boundary Protocol Description (BPD) — a declarative DSL that generates code implementations, visual diagrams, conformance tests, and citation-provenance documentation from a single source.
Boundary Protocol Description
The BPD is what makes MCP-Bridge different from alternatives like mcp-reloader or reloaderoo. Instead of just an implementation, we have a formal specification that:
- Describes actors, boundaries, protocol rules, and lifecycle state machines
- Detected an implementation gap in our Zig variant that took hours to find manually
- References every design decision to its normative source (RFC 9112, MCP spec, JSON-RPC 2.0)
