Design Brief Direction
Use this as the primary design skill before visual implementation when the product intent, audience, style direction, or acceptance target is not yet explicit.
Workflow
- Identify the product type, user job, audience expectations, brand posture, existing design assets, constraints, and implementation surface.
- Choose a coherent direction before choosing individual colors, fonts, effects, or components.
- Set style dials for visual variance, motion intensity, and information density so later implementation has a shared target.
- Name anti-patterns that would make this product look generic, off-brand, inaccessible, or hard to maintain.
- Produce a brief that can route into brand identity, reference analysis, design-system handoff, frontend polish, or visual QA.
