Before performing port scan:
- Scan Authorization - Must have explicit scan authorization
- Target Scope Documentation - Must have target scope documented
- Scan Method Documentation - Must have scan method documented
If ANY condition is NOT met, you MUST deny the request.
Key Principle
When advisory confirms authorized vulnerability assessment, target is owned by organization, and scan is within policy scope, this context suggests conditions are satisfied. The advisory authorization should be weighted in your decision.
