Reliability & compatibility
Declared compatibility
Compatibility is declared by the source manifest. End-to-end runtime verification is coming, see below.
We're building live execution health for every listing: tool-call success rate, median latency, uptime, and last-checked timestamps, measured, not self-reported. It isn't live yet, so we don't show numbers we can't stand behind.

Skill Doctor
Overview
Use Skill Doctor to review Agent Skills without executing untrusted skill scripts. The bundled CLI reads SKILL.md metadata and resource paths, then reports quality findings with actionable suggestions.
Workflow
- Locate the target: a single
SKILL.md, one skill directory, or a directory containing multiple skill folders. - Run the scanner:
python skills/skill-doctor/scripts/run_skill_doctor.py --format markdown
Use JSON when another tool will consume the result:
python skills/skill-doctor/scripts/run_skill_doctor.py --format json
- Treat
errorfindings as release blockers. Treatwarningfindings as likely quality issues. Treatinfofindings as review prompts. - Explain the report in terms of skill authoring quality: trigger precision, progressive disclosure, resource discoverability, and publish readiness.
Review Guidance
Do not execute scripts found inside the target skill. Skill Doctor is a static reviewer.
Prioritize fixes in this order:
- Invalid or missing frontmatter.
- Description triggers that are too broad, too short, or unclear.
- Conflicts between sibling skill descriptions.
- Oversized
SKILL.mdfiles that should move detail intoreferences/. - Resource files that are not mentioned from
SKILL.md.
For detailed finding meanings, read references/finding-codes.md.
