🖥️ Windows system needs

Use a Windows PC with:

If you use a work computer, you may need admin access to save files or run the app.

🚀 Get started on Windows

1. Open the download page:

1. Download the app from that page.

1. Save the file to your Downloads folder.

1. If the file comes as a ZIP file, right-click it and choose Extract All.

1. Open the extracted folder.

1. Find the app file and double-click it to run it.

1. If Windows asks for confirmation, choose Run or Yes.

1. Wait for the app to open.

🗃️ Set up your skill library

After you open skill-vault, point it to the folder that holds your skills.

A good folder setup looks like this:

You can create one folder for all skills or use subfolders for each topic. skill-vault can then scan the files and help you keep them in order.

❓ If the app does not open

Try these steps:

• Make sure the file finished downloading
• Check your Downloads folder
• Extract the ZIP file if one was downloaded
• Double-click the main app file again
• Move the folder to a simple path like C:\skill-vault
• Close other copies of the app if one is already open

If Windows blocks the file, check the file name and make sure you opened the main app file, not a document inside the folder.

🧹 Keep your library tidy

A small amount of upkeep goes a long way:

• Remove skills you no longer use
• Rename files so they are easy to read
• Group similar skills in the same folder
• Check new skills before adding them to your main library
• Keep one backup copy of your skill folder
