- Choose a few bets; a strategy that does everything chooses nothing
- Make the "not doing" list real — that's where strategy lives
- Tie bets to measurable outcomes
Best Practices
- Strategy is choice; if there's no sacrifice, it's a wish list
- Ground it in a clear-eyed diagnosis, not optimism
- Keep it short enough that people remember the bets
