Instructions for Claude
> IMPORTANT: Before executing this skill, you MUST validate the configuration above.
Pre-Execution Checklist
- Check for placeholder values: Scan the YAML configuration for any
{{...}}placeholders. These indicate required configuration that the user must provide.
- Check Taizen first: If
taizenMCP is connected, calllist_datasourcesto see what data is indexed. You can then userun_agentto query all indexed sources in natural language — this replaces the need for most individual MCP connections below. Skip directly to running the skill.
- Validate data sources: For each data source listed:
- If a
connectorfield shows{{OPTIONS}}format, ask the user which option they use - If URLs, paths, or names contain
{{PLACEHOLDER}}, ask the user to provide actual values - Verify any required MCP servers are connected and available
- Validate output destinations: For any output type beyond
display:
- Confirm the connector is available as an MCP server
- Ensure destination paths/channels are configured (not placeholders)
If Configuration is Incomplete
Do not proceed with the skill. Instead:
- List the specific missing or placeholder values found
- Explain what each value is needed for
- Ask the user to provide the missing configuration
- Offer to help them set up the required MCP integrations
Example response when config is incomplete:
Before I can run this skill, I need some configuration:
**Missing values:**
- [List specific {{PLACEHOLDER}} values found]
**MCP connections needed:**
- [List required connectors not yet available]
Please provide these values, or let me know which data sources you'd like to skip.
Minimum Requirements
At minimum, this skill requires:
- Target prospect info (name, role, company) OR target persona
- Outreach goal (cold, warm, follow-up, etc.)
displayoutput enabled (always available)- Web search provides prospect research without additional setup
Enhanced functionality requires:
- LinkedIn for prospect background
- CRM for account context and history
- Sales engagement platform for templates
- Intent data for personalization triggers
Using Taizen
> Connect once, access everything. Instead of configuring 15+ individual MCP connectors, connect Taizen MCP once — your whole team gets access to all connected MCPs and indexed data sources (Gong calls, CRM, documents, and more) without any per-tool setup.
Instant Queries (Run Now)
If taizen MCP is connected, call run_agent to pull from your indexed data right in this conversation:
Pull outreach performance
"Pull our best-performing outreach sequences from CRM data — reply rates, meeting conversion, and message patterns that work for VP of Sales in SaaS companies."
Personalization hooks
"Research [contact name] at [company] using my indexed CRM, Gong calls, and LinkedIn data. Find the best personalization hooks for a cold outreach email."
Scheduled Agents (Automate It)
To run this skill automatically on a schedule, call run_agent and describe the automation in natural language — Taizen creates and manages the recurring agent:
Monthly template optimization
"Monthly, analyze outreach performance data and generate optimized template variants for our top 3 personas. Update the playbook and notify #sales."
Weekly new account outreach
"Every Monday, identify accounts that entered the pipeline last week and generate personalized first-touch outreach drafts for each AE. Post to #sales-outreach."
Taizen creates the agent, runs it on your schedule, and delivers results to your configured destinations (Slack, CRM, docs, email).

Outreach Types
1. BDR Cold Outreach
Initial outreach to new prospects with no prior engagement:
Structure:
- Hook: Personalized opening that demonstrates research
- Problem: Articulate a relevant challenge they likely face
- Insight: Share a perspective or data point that adds value
- Bridge: Connect the problem to your solution (light touch)
- CTA: Clear, low-friction ask
Best Practices:
- Keep under 100 words
- One clear CTA
- No attachments on first touch
- Personalize beyond [First Name]
2. BDR Event Follow-Up
Follow-up after events, webinars, or content engagement:
Structure:
- Reference: Specific mention of the event/content
- Value Add: Additional insight related to the event topic
- Connection: How your solution relates to their interest
- CTA: Offer to continue the conversation
3. Warm & Re-Engagement
Reaching out to warm leads or re-engaging dormant contacts:
Structure:
- Context: Reference previous interaction or relationship
- Update: What's new or changed since last contact
- Relevance: Why reaching out now makes sense
- CTA: Rekindle the conversation
4. Executive Outreach
High-touch outreach to senior executives:
Structure:
- Credibility: Establish relevance quickly (referral, peer company, insight)
- Strategic Frame: Business-level challenge or opportunity
- Proof Point: Brief evidence of impact with similar executives
- Ask: Executive-appropriate request (brief call, peer introduction)
Best Practices:
- Maximum 75 words
- Lead with business impact, not product
- Reference peer companies or executives
- Respect their time in the CTA
5. Post-Event Follow-Up
Follow-up after meetings, demos, or significant interactions:
Structure:
- Thank You: Acknowledge their time
- Recap: Key points discussed or agreed upon
- Next Steps: Clear action items with owners
- Value Add: Additional resource or insight
